Manufacturers rely on additional E/E component and systems testing. Today we are responsible for more than 70 entire vehicle and component tests in parallel, as well as testbenches.
We rely on our extensive know-how in the area of embedded development, integration and testing. Together with strong standards and vendor solutions we use an industrial proven workflow as End-to-End approach.
From the first concept on paper to its use in public transportation: We specify, design, integrate, test, and take over the commissioning of the autonomous People Mover – all in record time. With our unique approach, we were able to reduce the development time by up to 50%.
Status: Prototype commissioning
First, all features were consolidated, system requirements were captured, and a suitable E/E architecture was designed. By using standard artifacts (reusability), we were able to accelerate the market launch while ensuring high consistency from the very beginning.
We developed a comprehensive, project-specific test strategy based on low-voltage and high-voltage LabCars, hardware-in-the-loop systems, as well as state-of-the-art tools, and defined the plan for an effective and efficient system integration and testing phase.
The E/E integration and system tests were then conducted in the Munich lab. Thanks to the customized test environment and the E/E data backbone in PREEvision, we were able to identify and fix errors at an early stage.
Thanks to the integration of the design in PREEvision and our efficient test environment, we were able to commission the very first vehicle in just three weeks – 75% faster than usual. Through consistent documentation, we reduced troubleshooting efforts by 40% and thus significantly increased efficiency.
Starting in mid-2025, Hamburger Hochbahn will launch the ALIKE project in test operation – with the goal of introducing a total of 10,000 Holon vehicles by 2030. The Rhein-Main Transport Association (RMV) also plans to test it starting in 2026. Meanwhile, the solution is being rolled out internationally, with a Holon factory in Jacksonville.
