E/E- entire vehicle development: From the vision to the system

It all starts with a design or a vision. Our experts then derive the necessary customer features, taking into account market analysis, technological roadmaps and competitor benchmarks.

Based on this, we develop a "Logical Function Architecture". Functions are also broken down into their constituent parts in order to describe the information to be exchanged between the sub-functions. These are additionally supported by precise requirements.

Agility as a basic principle in E/E entire vehicle development

As in almost all new development projects, it is important to consistently use agile methods from the very beginning, because changes and adjustments must remain possible throughout the development process – after all, flexibility is essential in order to be able to respond to the market and customers.

This step is followed by the consistently modeled design for the technical implementation of the architecture—closely interlinked with the development of wiring harness and communication design. Our focus is particularly on optimizing the architecture to increase efficiency and reduce costs in the long term.

Integration, Testing, and Validation

Based on the steps completed previously, our developers implement individual system components, which are then tested in the overall system. In the lab-car, we integrate these components into a functional unit and validate their interaction. The prototype is tested intensively and any sources of error identified are permanently fixed. In this way, we ensure that our customers' vision is successfully and rapidly implemented from the basic idea to series production.
