"Lottery win" - team event with heart, hand and sense

Cognizant Mobility is expanding outdoor stations for the Comenius School of the Rummelsberger Diakonie.

It is almost part of the standard repertoire of large companies when managers build a raft together, crawling outdoor around the bet or want to go high in the climbing garden.

Admittedly, the team spirit can be strengthened in this way, but the question arises as to how sustainable such actions really are. What greater purpose can they bring? Can other people benefit from it?

The automotive IT company Cognizant Mobility and its executives are taking a different approach. They are supporting the Rummelsberger Diakonie with a campaign they named "SMILE" by building a feeling course together and with all hands, as well as the renewal of the outdoor offers, which are a bit outdated, but so necessary for the promotion of people with disabilities at the Comenius School.

Behind SMILE are the words Social, Mobility, Improve, Life, Experience. "For our event, it was important to me not only to do something to help the team grow together, but also to use the strength of my colleagues to show appreciation for other people. I think that this welds together even more and it is fun. In addition, in my opinion, it is part of the skillset of a good manager to want to get closer to other people with own actions in order to create values." so Jörg Ohlsen, CEO of Cognizant Mobility. The construction of another branch in the Nuremberg area is currently being planned, which is also a win-win from the point of view of networking with the region. Nuremberg is attractive as an automotive IT location because it is relatively central to the most important German car manufacturers and promises shorter travel distances.

"For our school, this team campaign is like a six in the lottery," says headmaster Rainer Kühlewind. “If so many people do good together, ideas that we have had for a long time can be implemented in a short time. It's great that our students are the winners! "

The Comenius School also thanks the Obi hardware store in Roth near Nuremberg, which participated financially in SMILE and thus made an important contribution to the success of the campaign.
